Putting an End to Bullying

Give bullying zero tolerance

The best way to address bullying is to stop it before it starts. There are many steps faculty can put in place to reduce bullying.

Create a mission statement, code of conduct, school-wide rules, and a bullying reporting system to name a few. These establish an environment in which bullying is not acceptable.

Reporting bullying can be difficult. The victim often feels like this will make them more of a target, so always handle a bullying report very carefully.

Electrical Outlet Safety

A source for danger

Electrical outlets can be dangerous without proper care. Plug cords in securely and make sure they stay in securely.

Overloading electrical outlets with too many appliances has been known to result in fires. Organize your wires and prioritize which ones need to go where.

Remember that water and electricity are a bad mix. Do not use electronics in a bathtub or near other exposed water to avoid being electrocuted.
