Finals can be stressful; if handled correctly, however, you can make the final week of the semester seem like a breeze!
Don't try to cram studying into a few nights before the test; this usually results in reduced sleep and lots of unnecessary worry. Start studying for tests a few weeks in advance to really take control of your studying.
Try to maintain a healthy lifestyle during finals week. Eat well and exercise to relax and energize yourself.
Stay organized. Write down all tests and assignments, schedule time for studying, and keep different subjects separate.
Contrary to what many people do, study the hard stuff first. That way it gets done, and the easy stuff will be less of a burden to complete later.
Another very important study habit is to not study...all the time. Make sure you save time to relax and socialize with friends to reduce stress. Sleep is necessary, so don't try to replace it with studying.
Put your work environment into perspective. The organization of your desk often reflects the organization in your mind.
Don't worry about sticking out. Bring things that would comfort you throughout the day, like snacks or music, and your day will go by much easier.
Try to surround yourself by positive people. While this may be hard in a workplace, try to inspire a positive outlook to coworkers, and it will usually be accepted.
